The "bodong" or peace pact is an indigenous socio-political system, basically a peace pact defining inter-tribal relationship. They have developed an institution of peace pacts which minimizes traditional warfare and headhunting and serve as a mechanism for the initiation, renewal, maintenance and re-enforcement of social ties.

In recent years, the "bodong" was expanded into a multi-lateral peace pact, providing a means of strenghtening unity in the Cordilleras. The Kalingas are divided into Southern and Northern groups, the latter are considered the most colorful and gaudily attired and most heavily ornamented of people of northern Philippines. In Kalinga alone, there are 36 tribes not including those in Apayao. Inhabitating the northern sub-province of Apayao are the Isnegs.

Simply file an official complaint with the barangay secretary naming the Punong barangay as the respondent representing the barangay. Cleaning the shorelines, drainage systems, streets, rivers, and parks within your barangay is YOUR responsibility.
