How can anyone like skrillex
He started the whole dubstep thing and the trend where people shave half their heads while wearing fake glasses and plaid. If I wanted to experience his music, I'd scrape a fork on a plate. I think that'd be more enjoyable, actually. I don't hate Skrillex. I think people who grew up on old school rock music will argue that a guitar takes time and skill to learn and that dubstep artists only have to use their computers to make their music and it requires little skill or talent.
Really, I want to ask these types to use Fruity Loops. It's not easy to make good music in a music program. It's not that programs like FL are unintuitive or anything like that. It's just that it does take skill and talent to use these things. Just because one uses a computer to make music, it isn't any easier.
I tried it before and never could make anything of it. I did grow up on old school rock and roll myself. I love 60s and 70s rock. I used to hate dubstep too. Until I tried using FL. Then I kinda gained an appreciation for it. It is not easy to do. I also think it's because of the way he dresses. Of course, I'm sure if he had a clean haircut and wore a really nice business tux when he performed, people would hate nice tuxedos because Skrillex performs in a tuxedo.
Personally I don't care for his music but most people I know hate him just because or just because they hate the dubstep genre. He's okay but I have heard some things about him but heck knows if they true.
People hating him just because or hating the music basically. I just don't especially care for his music, but then, I'm a lover of J. Bach and instrumental jazz. Which are Probably about as far from what Skrillex does as it gets lol.
Don't know much of anything about him as a person, so I've no reason to dislike him personally. You either like something or you don't. I guess is because some people don't like dubstep including things like brostep? I dunno. I'mma just noncontributively leave this right here. I don't understand the genre. That's not a judgment on those who enjoy it I'm sure a lot of people don't understand why I get a music boner listening to Mr.
Bungle , I just don't get it. So, uh Someone want to help this guy out? I'm starting to feel bad. The Sam wrote: I don't understand the genre. It's just an extension of electronica, house, etc. I like it because it's very 'computer' sounding Technically they're more Drum and Bass, but I do enjoy me some Pendulum. Beyond that, I like a couple of Skrillex songs, but after listening to a Skrillex station on Pandora and hearing some of the utter trash that it played, I realized I don't like Dubstep in general.
The Sam wrote: Someone want to help this guy out? Fine, if you insist A lot of Deadmau5 might also fit. You want artists that blend dubstep with dance. Unfortunately, that really narrows down your options. Nothing else posted so far fits your crieteria.
Yeah, you have to like electronic music in general I do. The thing I really dig is that there is a lot of really complex rhythm stuff going on between the drum beats and the various sounds stuck on top. But then again, I play bass guitar, so I'm all about rhythm and bass. Jehos wrote: The Sam wrote: I don't understand the genre. Oh god, he's a bass player. You sir are made of win. I'm previewing Feed Me on iTunes and you nailed it. Exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. Thank you! I don't know if that helps anybody else out with suggestions. Jakal, is there a name for this sort of genre, or is it just a fusion of a couple things?

Post by skanky beats » Sat Oct 30, am personally i dont understand why. His tunes are well produced and i prefer them to half the angry shit that i get spammed with. Re: why do you hate skrillex? Post by qiao » Sat Oct 30, am it just sounds like noise to a lot of people. I've made up with my parents now, but I wasn't too happy at the time. But Moore is free from self-pity.
And he doesn't suggest that the episode was some kind of dramatic epiphany. Rather, it just made him act on his desire to pursue music. At 13 he started going to punk gigs in "mainly Mexican parts of town". Later came illegal warehouse raves and sneaking underage into clubs.
Like most rock kids of his generation, from an early age he had a working knowledge of electronic music through listening to industrial bands such as Nine Inch Nails , and an obsession with "IDM" "intelligent dance music" , in particular "anything on Warp Records ". The other thing his leap into a life on the road revealed was a Stakhanovite work ethic. Asked where he fits sleep alongside gigging and making music much of which is recorded on the tour bus , he replies: "I don't.
But I don't do hard drugs all the time either. People always say it must be some cocaine lifestyle, but nobody could sustain that and do all the shows I do.
